Afraid of Rachel

Great video . . . I was afraid of Rachel . . . of course it was late twilight by the time I sped by there . . . pretty spooky on the ETHwy.

I'll share your video with my far flung sons. Thanks for posting it.

Thanks!

Yeah it is long and lonely on that road. I bet it is spookey at night.

I saw an interesting documentry, when I got home, that said that the U2 and SR71 and the F117 where tested at Area 51 which accounts for the strange shapes in the sky. They also said that transport planes were ferrying workers back and forth from Las Vegas and their landing lights accounted for lighted objects. As you can see from the interview in my video, some people think otherwise and there is a colony of Area 51 watchers in Rachel.

When I bought my car in Salt Lake..

I took a longer route home via Lee Vining over the pass. Those humps were quite the surprise. I hit them at about 9:30 at night at extra-legal speeds the very first day of Mini ownership! Quite the rush...

Looks like a fun little trip. I say, at the next AMVIV, I may just have to drive out there...

Yeah the conspiricy theories are more fun than the official explainations.

Art Bell has gone to the Philipines, but the guys from the HD TV Deadline show should have an episode about the Aliens soon. In my video you can see them interviewing the owner of the A'Le'Inn. http://www.hd.net/op_deadline.html

Maybe we can do a trek over the Sierras, over the CA 120 humps and out to NV 375 on the way to AMVIV. Those long down hill straights are a good place to try for warp speed.

Too bad 120 at Tioga Pass is closed in March. You'll have to go up through Tahoe and back down to 120.

CA 120: ah yes. Go now before the snow flies.

Great Basin and ET highways are great! Who knew there was an oasis in the middle of the desert at Alamo? Lakes, even! Speed trap too, however.

Nice report, Mike!
