Gotta love highway 9

Last night me and Luke were hanging out at a hookah lounge and around midnight I got a huge urge to go on a drive, so we left and ended up taking 9 all the way down to Santa Cruz, walked around downtown SC for a while and then took the "straightaway" 17 home.

I've only driven all the way through 9 once and it was back when I had my 4runner, so this was a much more exciting drive to say the least. We were listening to a group called Faun Fables (best described by my buddy Drew as "tainted fairy tale music"), which gave driving through the forest in the middle of the night a whole new level of eerie and adventure.

So basically this was a great drive and we should do a run through here sometime! (Maybe this is already being worked out with the upcomming Nikki run?)

Glad to hear that you liked driving highway 9. This is my daily commute and the main reason I bought a Mini!
For me, the commute is the best part of my work day

haha damn trucks... A couple months ago I was driving down 1 to Slo for the heck of it, and at one point this raised black truck sped by me on a straght stretch and maybe 2 miles later the road became all twisty again so i cought up him in seconds and he just wouldn't pull over to let me pass, so i had to putt along behind him for like 15 minutes!

BasinRacin' Boys...

I grew up in Saratoga, CA '73>'86. I used Basin for tuning my Porsche 911RS replica, hands down best road ever. The airplane turns up top are schweet.

MoF, back in '78 we used to pile into a shaggy van with our BMX'ers and jam up to the top and tuck straight down Basin sans brakes for the ultimate in high school lunch thrills. Those were the days.

I wish I could take the time to drive my 2006 MINI Cooper S back out there. I envy you guys who have to commute Basin, beware of mud slides!
