So it's official! I won't be able to make it, but would be happy to send this event out on my email distribution list. Just let me know if you want any more public notice out. Need time and place.

Yep, that's him... he recently joined my company and I stalked him until he decided to join in our fun!

Oh that's so funny!!!
I hope you didn't scare him. I have this vision of you following him around in your MINI in the parking lot . I always see him driving around but it's usally the "back end" of the car. All I see are the plates. Great looking car !

Hello all. This is my first post!!! Creeker, it's Jen from your wife's Bunco group.

I will be picking a friend up from SFO Sunday am and I would like to meet you for go-karting if my friend is up for it. Does it work for you guys if we just show up? I think my daughter who lives in a dorm in SF may want to join us too.

Do you have space? Do you need a definite RSVP, and if so, by when?

Thanks,
Jen

Jumping ahead of the rest and dving right in ...

Welcome Jen ... I appreciate that you didn't dip your toe into the "1st Gear" forum but dove right into a Nikki Run!

Hopefully I'll be able to meet up with the pack in Saratoga and do the Skyline drive but I'm unable to 'kart' with you. Family calls!

Tim

Welcome, Jen!

We haven't made any kind of reservations, so just show up if you can. Most of the group should be there by noon and will likely stay until around 2 when we'll head out in search of some food. lol

Looking forward to meeting you!

Hi,
I just remembered that they do Junior driving sessions on Sunday... I took the liberty of giving them a call just now to verify.

The Yokohama track is not open until 2pm due to the Jr driving school.

Monza track is open from 12-1pm, they have reservation for 1p, then open briefly until another reservation at 2pm.

Both tracks are available after 2pm, and then Supertrack opens around 3:30p

There you have it. Monza track at noon, or we do a mid-afternoon session.

Scheduling can change, we can hang around and fit in open slots...

Welcome to our "little" group Jen!

The Nikki Runners/BAMMERS group is getting quite big. People might mistake us for a club . Anyway, just a quick welcome. I'm at work and I really, really, really shouldn't be here !

Hi Jen!
As you can see from the posts, our 'group' is a bit informal but somehow we seem to be able to get together every once in a while for some fun. Please, by all means, join us anytime. Consider yourself a member. We could always use another Nikki Runner/BAMMER.
If the weather is good, Gerry (red JCW in Ben Lomond) and I getting together on Saturday for an hour drive up to Alice's or somewhere. Give me a call if you are interested in joining us.
See you on Sunday!

Instead of just 'winging it' on Sunday at noon, would any be interested in showing up at 4 instead of noon to drive on the super track? Based upon what aminicooper found out, it looks like we may have some difficulty hitting the track at noon. Thoughts?

Why not both? Try for a session around noon, break for a long lunch, then return? (There's an In-n-out around the corner, and a couple of chinese restaurants off El Camino Milbrae, there's also a Max's, and pleanty more in the area)

I don't know how busy they get for SuperTrack on Sunday... so it might still be a wait.

We could plan for 2 meets? a Noon and one for 4p?

I'm open until about 6p

Sounds good. We seem to have more fun when we do things by the seat of our pants!

Yup, I'm the EVL MINI you've seen around Scotts Valley... :D
So I guess I should still just show up at the Karting place at noon, and we'll wing it from there>?
Cheers,
Scott

Hey guys, looks like I'll have to pass on the Kart racing. Tim has to work and I have some things that I really need to take care of Sunday down in Salinas. Have fun and I'll catch up on the next get together!

See you on Sunday!
I think we saw you today when you were heading towards Alices and we were going towards 9 a little after 1pm. We did the Norcal drive and then did a 9 and Big Basin loop to see the snow. It was pretty nice out today.

Snowing in Boulder Creek

It's snowing in Boulder Creek I probably won't make it to karting today because there's a posibility that the power will go out and I can't leave my kids by themselves. RATS, RATS, RATS!

I'm going to attempt to make it over the 17. If it's snowing in Boulder Creek, then I'm sure there's snow up there.. looks like it from here. If conditions are unsafe, i will be turning back.... No need to damage my MINI and me. :D I'm shooting to get to the Karting place around 11:30ish... we'll see...
Cheers,
scott

Sorry I couldn't meet up with you guys today.
I found the "honey-do" list a little longer than I expected.

See you next time,

Tim

Man, that karting was great fun! Too bad I got the one that spilled gas on the last run, although it was my fastest run...
Can't wait to see some photos of it. Lotsa fun with you guys, I'll be seeing you again soon. Hanging out with a group like this really makes me want to start modding my MINI again...
Cheers,
Scott
