There was no mention, but were there any black flags due to the 92db sound limit at Laguna??? Was Randy running with his new exhaust? I'm quite sure that my MCS would be above the 92db track requirement...
If you know where the sound is measured,
There are tricks to get a bit more noise than the very strict limit! The mustangers use them all...
Sears point has a limit now too (I think it's 98 or 102) and Thunderhill just put one in (102 or 104). Some farmer was pissed about his cows hearing the cars...
At sears, just lift a bit in the front straight at the dogleg before turn one...

Yea I ended up swapping his exhaust out in the morning, but it still hit 94db because we couldn’t get the valve to close all the way. This was due to a small peace of metal getting stuck in the valve during the install (we never ran it closed until then). So he did end up having to lift at the sound booth. I didn’t have any idea of how extensive and how much it killed his lap times until I watched the in car video. He lifts for almost a full second while going up hill. You can see how it effected his position by watching the corvette in his mirror pull on him on that straight. I’m trying to find a way to host the video so everyone can see.

It was Sideline Sports Photography from Il 847-837-2376
I was really happy with several shots myself. Hubby and I were together on the track for only a few laps all day. We ended up with a couple of lucky shots with both of us in the corkscrew.
I, too, was amazed at Judy's photography. Both quantity and quality. Be sure and check hers out cooprd, you might find yourself there. She took ALOT of pictures. Here, I think ----> http://twistedmotoring.org/MyStuff/W...how3/index.htm
