Savannah Rickli to race at Laguna Seca, Miller Motorsports Park and Daytona

Savannah Rickli, record holder at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, (as the youngest driver in history to complete this world famous event, aged just 16 in 2010), will be racing her Mini Cooper S, Michele, at the SCCA regional races at Laguna Seca, October 1st and 2nd and will be at the MPRA event at Miller Motorsports Park in UT, October 8th and 9th. Savannah, 2010 PPIHC Rookie of the Year, is preparing for a move to professional racing in 2012, and will be racing at several of the tracks used by series like Grand Am or World Challenge in the coming months. Savannah will be racing her Lift Up America / Murphy Mining 2003 Mini Cooper S which is prepared by Built-By-Bones, in the STU class at the SCCA event at Laguna Seca, and at the Miller event the following weekend. This will be the first time that this aspiring Pro Racer will be visiting these tracks, and it will be a chance for her fans on the west coast to see her in wheel to wheel action. Fans are invited to attend the events, and visit with Savannah and her team in the paddock.

Savannah will be competing in an Endurance race at Daytona FL, Oct 21st, 22nd and 23rd with Gila Monster Racing, partnering with Carolyn Kujala in one of the teams VW Jetta’s. Team mates Ron Zitza and Luis Caban will race the team’s second VW Jetta in the PBOC sanctioned event. The races at Daytona will also be the first time Miss Rickli has driven at the track that hosts the world famous Daytona 24 Hour race, an event Savannah hopes to compete in, in the next few years. “Being given this opportunity by Gila Monster Racing is just fantastic. (Team owner) Carolyn Kujala has been such a great supporter of my career so far, allowing me to test their race vehicles, and now offering me a seat in her race car for the enduro races. I cannot possibly thank her and the team enough for their encouragement and support” Savannah said.
