anyone here?
I was just wondering the same thing. I was actually coming into this thread to see if there are any Mini meets in Sacramento.
Anyone know of any?
Or are there any better threads to post this in?

^ Bump!
I just moved to Carmichael (from Fair Oaks) a few months back. Car right now is just south of Puerto Rico partying on the Mini cruise ship.
Just added my Mini-site generated photo as my avatar. Should have it in a few weeks...mid April hopefully!

There are actually a bunch of Minis in Sacramento. Niello MINI is the dealer. Drop in and see Hans Dinse in the service department. There is a Sacramento chapter of REME (Redwood Empire Mini Enthusiasts) with several active members. Shasta Minis may a bit too far north, but have members in Sacramento. If you want to meet a bunch join us at Thunderhill Raceway Park for the SF-SCCA Season Opener on April 9 (Saturday). Minis are the marque car for the event. You will be able to meet other Mini owners in the area. drop me an email pooper@wildblue.net
Ahoy from Paradise
Howdy...me and my Mini Cooper S live a bit in between...in Paradise.
I have had my '05 MCS since October of 2009, there were maybe two others I would see around the area, now there must be 30! It's nice, but besides losing a wee bit of my cool factor a lot of these newer types don't wave or reply to flashed lights...
On the other hand, two of my friends have been converted to Mini owners due to my excessive exuberance...we all went out to Thunder Hill last month for the Mini track day, it was excellent and I for one plan to track mine next time out.
Breaks were about gone this time 'round, and sure enough the pad light came on on the way home.I still managed to get some grins from the former law enforcement officer riding with me on the backroads of Tehama County.
Brembos and Akebonos are in the garage ...just waiting for it to warm up a wee bit!
I suppose i ought to join Shasta Minis to meet other owners...been busy!
Mad Gepetto, over and out.

Yup! We're Here
This is Litabelle from Redwood Empire Mini Enthusiasts, based in in Healdsburg, but we have a strong showing in the Sacramento area. (ps - I also grew up in Paradise, and have some friends from Paradise in our group, too!) Membership is free and participation in activities and runs are totally voluntary. To get the whole info, there are actually TWO sites that you want to sign up for (confusing? Yes. I know. Sorry.)
Here is the link to the main site:
http://www.redwoodempiremini.com/ where you can sign up for membership.
Now here's the catch: The discussion threads are located here: http://www.redwoodempiremini.com/mbb...egory-view.asp where upcoming runs/events will be discussed, and lots of other miscellaneous conversation as well.
We've got an upcoming run in the Sacramento Delta area on Sunday, April 10th. It's great for first-timers. The thread is here: http://www.redwoodempiremini.com/mbb...osts=9&start=1
If you like, you can find me on Facebook - Leeta Bell - or drop me an email at myminifayt@gmail.com

I've met Hans...when I was ordering my Mini I had a few real specific questions and my MA took me over to talk to Hans - very helpful chap!
Yeah - Shasta is to far. And yeah, I saw the event at TH - looks pretty fun but already have plans for both days that weekend. TH is a great place - I've been up there a lot in my S2000. Great local track...Laguna Seca is my favorite though - is there a Mini event there this season?

My uncle lives in Paradise too but he always comes down to hang out with my dad here in Sacramento.
Funny about brakes - I destroyed a brake pad and a rotor at TH last year - it was a day when it was 105 or so and my right front brake pad disintegrated - rotor was totally scored and a goner. And the pads were track pads too. Very ugly.
