Any local purchasing tips...

About to order a fully loaded ($34k) MCS and would love to get some insight into Bay Area purchasing.

Mountain View Mini is just around the corner from my office so this would be the natural choice, unless there's a really good reason to go elsewhere.

Any advice and info on recent deals would be much appreciated!

What about SF Mini? I'd like to know the experiences shared by others buying from that particular dealer. I may buy my next Mini (Convert/Sidewalk) there and head down Hwy 1 on its maiden voyage.

I'm not sure whats going on right now but back in July it seemed a few extras were thrown in but still MSRP. In Socal, I am hearing more commercials and lease deals. I think the general market is soft for large ticket items, especially cars but maybe not minis. My only suggestion is to ask for as many things as you can and see what happens. Good luck

Since you're close by, I'd suggest sticking with Mini of Mt View. They charge msrp only and throw in the mats for free. There really is no difference between them, Concord or East Bay in terms of purchasing so just go to whats closest. Service on the cars I'm not sure of since I haven't used their service areas yet. I'm picking up my own brand new MCS today at Mini of Mt View and haven't had a problem with them yet thru the ordering process. I'd avoid Mini of SF though since they charge mark ups. That's why the other three had a 2-3 month wait since everyone from SF was coming down from there and filling up the south bay's dealer allocation lists. That's not to say that maybe their service stay may not be good. It's just that why would you want to pay 1-2K more in price when you don't have to?

MoMV service has treated me excellently. I have nothing but good things to say about them.

I would personally tend to stay away from SF... try East Bay MINI or Niello in Sacramento....

I would go w/ East Bay or Mountain View. Stay away from SF due to bad service reviews + markup.

Wait...didn't Harley get you to order from EB Mini already??? =D

This thread is OLD!!!
