Big MINI Day ... THANKS !

Brian Thesing and the rest of the GANG ...
THANKS for a GREAT day !!!

It was WARM . (read ... GREAT because it can be HOT)

This day was GREAT it on so many levels:
Great orginization
Great track
Great "drivers meeting" with TURBO (this alone is worth the $)
GREAT instructors
GREAT fellow mini drivers

I don't want to use GREAT to many times but just 1 more time on a personal level.

BAY BRIDGE MOTORS are GREAT

I had my belt go bad (OK ... OFF) in the first session.
Thought my day was done and, going to have a huge all day P.I.T.A. to just get home.

MINI Mountain View had a belt for sale on discount at the track.
Bay Bridge Motors and crew helped me (NO ... I kinda helped them) install using their tools at NO cost to me !

Didn't miss a session and had a GREAT day !

THANKS !!!

Were you running a stock pulley? Just curious.

I am running a 15% and have had it on for about 35K+. I should have known better and think I was pushing the service interval.

I dont know what the official stock time frame is,
and must assume that smaller is shorter,
also shorter by spirited and track driving,
I am in NO way complaining about service necessary and looked at the belt when I did my last oil changs, then knowing that this will need attention SOON.

Bay Bridge said "when you see the backside (not grooved side) is smooth / shiny it is time to do the belt.

As we start to get some miles on our cars with various mods more of this will come to light.

Good to see you there Brian.

Glad you and BBM got the belt taken care of!

I appreciate very much that my dealership allowed me to join and represent, I had a great time.

Excellent! Glad you got back on track. Nice to meet all you local people, really happy to have been a part of it. Anyone got any photos that are better than the few I took?
