I'm trying to make those nice maps with waypoints, mileages, Times and such. But its not working for me. Any of you younger tech types want to help out a old non tech guy figure it out. I've looked at google and yahoo. Larry P

Not sure exactly what your goal is, but the Gmaps Pedometer will show mile markers along the route you describe with their app. It won't create the route for you, however; you'll have to click either at every turn (in which case the distances won't be accurate as they're point-to-point) or click at every turn in the road. :-)

My goal is to make maps that are clear and easy to read with distances between turns and stops. I have seen some at other clubs events so I know there out there. Thanks for your input I'll check it out.

That one didn't work for what I want. It makes a straight line from point to point across the map road or no road. I need to keep the club on the street.

Larry, you might want to talk with Peter from REME. He seems fairly good at the map thingy.

Larry,

Peter or Howard Canfield. Both of them know that map stuff well.

Larry,

I have submitted my NorCal membership request on-line and mailed in a check for 2006 since the dues payment did not appear to be correct on the on-line pay method. I have not yet received a password for the NorCal site and will work on run NorCal maps and runs if needed.

Hi Howard, How do you make your maps? I'll check on your membership/password issue.

Microsoft Streets & Trips 2005 but it has some problems with National Forest Service roads in the Sierras. The software will have incorrect names or missing roads that are on an AAA Recreation Series (Sierra Nevada-Lake Tahoe Area) map I take with me when I check roads. The AAA map has always been correct to date.

NorCal password is working.
