We were at Carolina Motorsports Park this past Sunday and the weather was perfect. The leaves were gorgeous.........blurred as I went round.

Bad day I don't get to go, unless I quit my job. Had something come up on that day that I can't get out of.

I think I can get most of my money back.

Hope you all have a great day.

Count me in! I'll be instructing so all you novices look out. Just made my hotel reservations but had to settle for the AAA discount. I'll be flying in Monday night so I need to find a MINI to rent as well. Heard Specialty is out of MINI's, so anyone knew where I can get a ride? I have heard rumors that enterprise had some coopers, but not sure. Anyone have a Cooper S they'd like to lone out? I also might have an extra room, not sure yet but I'll let you know Mike. I'll be wearing out my thumbs playing Gran Turismo 4 until the 14th .

I am watching some in car video from some classic Mini drivers.......daily.

It will be good to see you again Matthew. Drive your car out. I may need to borrow a few parts off of it. They're the right color.

What are you talking about, that's speed damage Caspuur has, makes her go faster! Wish I could drive out there though, I mean I put 1800 miles on Snowball II last weekend for a 1 day event, so what's 4000 for a 2 day. If only those pesky classes would go away...

Yeah but that Cobra blue color slows him down. A friend who races a classic told me now that Casper had character and experience I just needed to throw a roll cage in him and go racing. I'm looking for mongoose stickers to put on the dents, or at least a cobra with a circle and slash. Don't have time to get him fixed until we get back from CA. Just glad to have found a replacement wheel and tire.

Laguna Seca Update. 25 dollar lunchtime laps

I just talked to Phil. He is looking for a few more instructor types to help out. You can contact him by his web site. Also the Mini Concourse has been cancelled due to lack of participation. If you would like to drive on the track at lunch it is covered in the 25 dollar per car entry fee. The fee covers insurance costs. Its 25 dollars per car no matter how many are in it. No helmet required. See ya there Larry.

Please clarify about lunch time laps!

Hi,

What is the deal now for lunch time laps? I haven't signed up for anything yet. Does this mean the parade laps at $85 are no longer in the works? Do you have to be signed up for the driving school or race in order to do lunch time laps? I REALLY want to drive on the track, but can't afford the higher cost of the class or the race this close to the holidays.

Thanks

I believe there is a 25$ fee to watch-participate and enter the track for the day

Sounds like that will also get you out there for LAPS at LUNCH, you just have to follow the LEADER

Thats right I was told $25 entry fee at the gate per car includes some lunch time non race laps. There is no limit on how many people are in your car when you come through the gate.

Oh, man. So sorry Mike. I was looking forward to seeing you out there. I hate "circumstances beyond control".

Just posted my "in-car video" from Laguna Seca from March 2005 over on road racing forum: post #44

It was a real cold day and low grip.
I confess - I turned my seat warmers on.
Windows were down and man it was cold!
