Good shops in Santa Cruz area?

I've seen links to reputable service/performance shops in SF and over the hill, but what about in the greater Santa Cruz/Watsonville area. My r53 has a nasty oil leak (probably oil pan) and the cruise control isn't working. I understand that the oil pan is something a MINI specialist should handle. A good local shop would be great, as this is now my only car.

Thanks,
Tyler

An oil pan gasket is not a clutch but,
you may want to read this first.

I've heard that Specialized Automotive works on MINI's. I've not been there but they were highly recommended to me.

Thanks for the heads up. I just called them and they do work on MINIs. I will add them to our list.

That's funny- I personally know people from both of those shops, but never thought of them to work on the MINI. Pearce has done some good work on my old Saab. I had them do a tranny, and my only gripe is that the case had a hairline crack around the drainplug that never fully sealed. They had a seperate tranny guy up in the city though, so who knows how closely related to their work the crack was?

At any rate, I'll ask both those shops and see how I feel about it. Am I correct in assuming the oil pan gasket should be done by somewhat of a specialist?
