Hello!

Tomorrow I fly down to LA and drive back with my new (used) Mini. (A 2006 cabriolet with every available JCW option). I'm really looking forward to picking it up and then heading up the coast. I'm planning on taking 101 as far as the San Luis Obispo area and then the fun really begins as I'll take Hwy 1 up to Carmel. Then home to San Jose.

What I'm looking for are some recommendations on good Mini dealers in the south bay. Specifically around San Jose/Campbell and also around Sunnyvale.

Also, are there any dealers or shops to steer clear of?

Two independents that I like are German Motor Specialist in Sunnyvale 408-522-9520 and BRRacing in Los Gatos. I've had good service from Mini of Mountain View but you will pay top dollar for it.

Dinan in Campbell also does service work. I've had good experiences with them.

I know this is a bit late... but BRRacing is excellent!! They really take the time and explain everything to you so you know what is actually being done to your car!!

 

Thanks! I've already talked with them and I'll likely have them install some Alta stuff in the future. For oil and fluid changes, I'm going with German Motor Specialists in Sunnyvale as they're a short walk from where I work.
