New Marin county MCS owner

It looks as if this is the forum for Mini owners in the SF North Bay area and since I jus became the owner of a sweet 05 Mini Cooper S, would like to find out how to join with other locals for events, etc.. I'm in Mill Valley and the car will be serviced as SF BMW/Mini..Would also like to know if any SF city folks have installed the 15% pulley while stil under warranty and the way SF Mini handled it where continuing the coverage is concerned.. Thanks! Jonathan

Welcome to the MINI World Jonathan!

This is the club forum for one of the many clubs in the
Northern California area. I believe we are the largest
with a current membership of 570 and growing.

If you have looked around our website......NorCalMINIs.com...
you have seen photos, information, and lots of other great
stuff regarding our events, benefits, and club membership.

Next year we will be celebrating our fifth year as a club
for people who love these fantastic and fun little cars.

Please feel free to email me for any more information and
I will be more than happy to talk with you in detail about
NorCal MINIs.

You can email me directly ......MiniRacerRick@Yahoo.com

Hi Jonathan,
Here is a link to my personal review regarding San Francisco MINI. For the record, my experience was horrible and I would never return! But the staff has now been completely replaced.

There are also some more positive reviews on the same link.

Some dealers will give you a problem with any modes. Sometimes it depends on the service rep. Some will not worry about it if its not the problem you bought it in for. There are some good non dealer shops poping up around the bay area for after warranty work too.

I'm in Mill Valley too. What does your MINI look like? I'll wave if I see you on the road!

Thanks folks.. will do my best to stay on top of the club members and activities.. I have a hyper blue 2005 MCS with white roof, chrome mirror caps.. Have to figure out how to post the photo.. My buddy who's Svc Mgr at SF BMW is helping me out with the SF Mini service dept and my car is going in Tues. AM for new window regulators, etc.. Will let you know how it goes, though my "in" sort of makes me a bit different than most..

Thanks again!
