Local Shops

Are there any local shops in the Rochester, Syracuse, or Buffalo areas that do work on MINI's. I want to buy some ALTA parts but i have no one to do the installs. I dont feel comfortable touching anything in my car. Im sure i could do the intake with help of a friend but id rather someone reputable do it. Im dying to start with the mods!! Help quick!!

I haven't done anything outside of dealer work (Towne in Buffalo) except getting my tires rotated at Craig Autometrics in Rochester, but you could check with the folks in the Genesee Valley BMWCCA message board.

Some of the BMW owners have MINIs also, or may be able to recommend places for performance mods.

Nick,

I'm not sure how far you are willing to travel.

I live in Endicott,NY and have a local garage that works on my MINI ('03 S). They just did a pulley (Alta 15%) install a couple of weeks ago. Also installed rear sway bars, done brake work etc. They've done various work on my friends MINIs as well.

They are Precision Automotive Service, 200 West Main St., Endicott, NY 13760. Phone #607-754-7777. Ask for Scott or Jon . Tell them you have a MINI & I referred you.

I have taken all my cars there since 1998. I'm very particular about who works on my cars. This is a clean, well maintained shop.

If you want to talk, send me an email and I'll give you my phone #.

Joe

Nick,
I'm a member of the Genesse Valley Chapter of the BMWCCA . Some of the members have MINIs and are from the Rochester area. I'll reach out to them for information on shops in your area.

By the way, if you have thought about driving your car on track, you may want to consider joining the GVC-BMWCCA. They sponsor HPDEs , primarily at Watkins Glen. I and a number of other MINI owners participate in the driving schools. Their schools are first rate.

Awesome man, thanks for the info! Ill look into the location of that shop in Endicott. I have to see how far it is from Rochester. What type of charge did they give you for the pulley install? How do you like the pulley?
