Hello all, i dont think many of you know me, but some of you associated with the Volkswagen world might.
My fiance has a Mini Cooper S, and I myself a GTI 1.8T. I am having a local GTG weekly at CHILIS in Holtsville next to Island 16 Cinema's on Monday Nights at 8pm, and i wish to invite all Mini owners to attend. I would like to bring the two communities together, i feel that both have fantastic cars and are totally appreciated by one another. So if you can make it, that would be great...here is the information as posted on www.vwvortex.com


Date: Every Monday Evening at 8pm.
Start Date: Monday August 15th
Place: Chilis in Holtsville next to Island 16 Cinema's
Who: VW, Audi, BMW, Mini, Subbies, Evo's, and more....

So tell you friends, get them down there along with yourselves, and lets have a good time.



Directions are as follows:

HEADING EAST
If heading east take the LIE to exit 61 and get off on the service road, stay on the service road until you see a sign for Morris Ave. in the right hand lane. Follow that exit and it will lead you into Island 16 Cinemas, Chilis is on your left hand side.

HEADING WEST
If heading west take the LIE to exit 62 and get off on Nicols road, take nicols south to the exit for Union Ave(look for Island 16 signs), take that exit till the first stop sign and make a right into the island 16 cinemas center. Chilis is right in front of you about 1/4 mile up.

easiest way commin from the south is to hop on nicols road and make a u-turn when you get to the LIE and follow the directions above.
If you are taking sunrise or southernstate, take them to nicols road on sunrise highway.

Just writing to ask you if you guys are still meeting up at Chili's on Monday nights?? I attended the May GTG with some of my friends from the Long Island Subaru Club at the Moose Lodge in Riverhead and met some really nice people and won a t-shirt in the raffle! LOL Anyways I just picked up my 05 MCS and would like to meet some people to ask some questions about the car etc. Also my little brother has a '98 GTI and I could try to get him to go too, we'll see. HOpe you guys are still going cuz I'd love to meet up. Thanks,

Im game if this is still goin on....I have some subi friends and would go up there.

On Tuesday nites were up on RT101 which is exit 65 i think down in the friendlys parking lot.

 

Hey 1FSTMINI you said you have some subie friends??? are they members of lisc?? If so I know quite a few of them and wouldn't mind meeting up with you guys? You said exit 65 thats around Yaphank area correct? That's a little better than DPA for me cuz i'm coming from way out east. Let me know what you find out. Thanks,
