I got mine at Hassel in Freeport and everything went really well. I paid MSRP, and the waiting period wasn't bad at all. Highly recomended!

I had a good experience at Mini of the Hamptons, I got exactly what I wanted and at MSRP. My wait period was around 5 weeks. I read recently that you can pick up a MC at 2.9% financing, although I'm not sure that includes '03's.

Good luck-

OK, just to make sure that there's no consensus (yet ), I had a great experience with Habberstad. My entire transaction was handled via the phone and except for some minor bumps related to the title prior to delivery (which in all honesty and in retrospect was the fault of BMW, not Habberstad) everything went smoothly. I'd highly recommend them for no hassle purchases.

Hey, shouldn't all of this info be conveyed through the Dealer Rating System?? It really doesn't seem like any of us use that as well as it should be. (shrug)

Well thanks for everyone's opinions. i went up to HAbberstad Mini yesterday and ordered my Indi Blue Cooper S. My saleswoman Maria was great. She was even able to take care of a wheel swap no charge (if the wheels i want are on an instock vehicle when my car gets here). There was no pressure and eveything went smoothly. I should sei my MINI in February. We need to have a Long Island, NJ, CT Mini Meet!!!!!!!!!!!

I actually purchased my MCS from MINI of the Hamptons.... Joan & Tor are top notch and will help you out.
I have all my service done at Hassel MINI in Freeport as i live in Valley Stream ...and It's very close to home. They have been TERRIFIC... Steve or Alex will do all they can and more
I work in Commack ...which is the next town in from Habberstaad MINI.
Unfortunaetly I have had not the same good fortune there.
The never return my calls and are pretty rude by my standards on the phone..
Just MHO.

NOW FOR IMPORTANT STUFF..!!!!!!!
There are at least 5 of us here on LI, Come on ...let's get a MINI MEET going.

Getting mine from Habberstad nice people but they still try to over charge when it comes to dealer installed options. for example wants $675 for factory alarm that is already pre-wired at the factory all they have to do is plug in the components and code the computer, but so are all the dealerson the island. it pays to be informed when dealing with these guys. My brother inlaw swears by Westchester MINI and ther prices for dealer addons seems more reasonable

Like d-Mini-ero, I just bought mine at MINI of the Hamptons. They offer free pick up and loaner cars. Or I can just go 4 miles away to Hassel if I want. Options.

Also, Hassel blew me off for a road test, and the rep was too lazy to show the car!

So far my dealer experience has been limmited to purchasing the Mini.
Mini of the Hamptons made the best deal by over a thousand.
Technical knockout of the competition, I'd say.

I purchased my 03MCS at Mini of the Hamptons after my wife and daughter were treated rudely at Habberstaad in Huntington. I live in Smithtown and Mini of the Hamptons will pick up and deliver. I just had my first oil change at 3000 miles.

Did they flatbed your car, or did they leave a loaner and drive away with yours?
Now I am getting a little paranoid letting someone else drive my car 120 miles round trip. (I am in Wantagh).
