Hello everyone just picked up a 2003 mini S last night with 56k miles for 4500. Was hoping to get some help and advice as I know nothing about these cars. So far no leaks or anything but I do believe the car has been raced in the past.

 

Well, you're substantially ahead of the curve if you have an '03 with no leaks. Now your level of ongoing maintenance will depend on how badly it was thrashed on the track. On the surface, it sounds like a great buy. Welcome to the Forum.

 

I just found out it had a full roll cage installed!

 

Welcome. Having a cage installed isn't very common so it must have some interesting history.
