Post #345 has some really good photos. pretty easy install less than 2 hours i had a buddy help that does body work so he had my bumper off in like 5 minutes haha. A caution to anyone with brake ducts, detach them before you remove the bumper!

Ryan it appears to be perfectly fine it doesn't come with any mounting tabs, the boost tubes hold it in place and it rests against the bumper. I have been driving a little "enthusiastically" to see but there seems to no issue, I have about 1000 miles since I put it on. I think the Helix concept of the stepped core is a lot more efficient than say Alta's thin and flat design and there's no cutting involved even with the brake ducts which is always a plus.
Decided that I didn't want to install it. On the fence if I should buy a new MCS or just keep the current MCS. It's at the mileage and age where things are starting to fail and need replacing. Not really feeling like dealing with it.
Anyways, swapped the defective scorpion out when the stock system. The car runs alot better now. So I would say MINI knew what they were doing. No more surging at idle and mileage has increased.

I found another nail in my tire last night. That's 2 in 2 weeks. DAMN construction in my development and the freaking developer won;t do anything about it. (taking deep breath) only 2 weeks left in this place...
It's eating rears? Something's wrong there Mike.
Also - if anyone is interested in 4 Crown Spoke (17 x 7) rims that hold air, but are a little out-of-round in spots - let me know. I'd let them go for CHEAP. A little righting might make for a good winter set.
And - I have 2 (Really? Who sells two tires?) Yokohama AVID ENVigor all-season tires (205/45/R17) that still have the nubbies on them. I can get pictures of tread depth as early as this evening.
If no one is interested - I can hear the crickets already - They're going on Craigslist - Priced to sell.
