Any Syracuse owners here?
Welcome to the area! I have a 2004 MINI Cooper S. (See my signature below). I live in Camillus, and drive my MINI all year long. If you see me, give me a wave!
The closest MINI club is located in Binghampton, but they pretty much cover all of central New York. They're at http://www.tiermini.com
Both Steve, "THE ITCH" and I are members. We do group rides, rallies, and car shows together in the warmer months.
The head guy at Tiermini is known as Brewmeister here on NAM, (Tom Greene). He's really nice and approachable.
You can always PM me if you have any questions about anything MINI-related.

Ahhh, caught the modding bug already, have you?
It took me about 7 months before I bought my first mod, which was my ALTA cold air intake. It wasn't long before I was plotting out what my next mod(s) would be. Once you start down the modding path, it is very difficult to stop; it becomes addictive!
You'll see.
I haven't any experience with the R56 MINI engine bay, so I won't be of much help to you, should you encounter any questions. But I still offer help, and if nothing else, my service as another MINI-obsessed drinkin' buddy to come over and watch you work on your MINI.

Thanks, you have some great pics on your site. Window tint has already been done, tommorow the CAI and then the wheels will appear...Just need to look further into rather I get the 17's or 18's. Run flats are not cheap! Better work some O.T. to offset the cost and keep the wife happy. She won't admit that she enojys driving the Mini over her 5-series.
I ditched the runflat tires, and boy, did it make an immediately noticeable improvement in ride quality! The runflats are back-breakers; disc-shatterers. If you can get over the concept of traveling without a spare in the MINI, I cannot recommend regular rubber enough. I have a very small emergency kit which has that green tire slime, and a cigarette lighter port powered air compressor, if my tires get flat. That, combined with a cell phone, and I'm feeling just fine. My back is much better now.
