MINY Pepe's Pizza Meet & Greet
sounds good. what time would u suggest meeting there? and is it where i put the green arrow on the map attached?
a mini mini rally to the meeting spot , i love it lol.
This is great. I'm looking forward to meeting you all on Sunday. I've made changes to the list (anyone who wants to be there and has pointed that out, I've added you to the list).
I will not be at MINI of Manhattan, but rather meet everyone at the destination in Fairfield, for about 11am. I will be talking more with Pepe's Pizza. We should pack in the house - filled with MINIacs. This will be a fun time - thanks to all that want to attend - this should be a nice meet!
As a reminder, MINI of Manhattan is closed on Sunday - so behave
Bring your cameras to both MINI of Manhattan - I am sure there will be much in the way of photo taking!!
Anyone coming in packs, may I suggest that you bring two-way radios by which to communicate.
Anyone who wants to exchange cell numbers, may I suggest you PM each other... anyone who wants my cell number, PM me
Also, a real treat if the weather holds out and Hovik can pull it off - come and find out!! We may have some special guests joining us..
If the weather is bad (or supposed to be bad) I will post something on this thread between the night before and the early morning of this Sunday. Cross your fingers for good weather!! After all, it is winter in the Northeast

I need to be back in Queens by 3PM-opening of an exhibit at the Queens Museum featuring the preservation of the acrylic map in the NY State pavilion from the '64 fair. No-doze will be available at the door

Representin' MINI of Manhattan:
Assuming the weather holds, I will be meeting you all here at 9AM.
The best place to park will be along 58th St. (Behind the BMW Building). I will plan on meeting you there.
Who wants Donuts?
Frankly, 2.5 hours to Fairfield is WAY overkill, so if anybody wants to punch up a scenic route and lead, we could get a little stick time in before chowing down on Pizza.

We'll take WSH to Hendy Hudson to Cross County to Hutchinson, which turns into Merritt. That to RT7South and 95 North. End up at the pizza place.
Figure a gas/rest/bathroom stop on the way and we'll be there around 11-11:30. Frankly I don't want to tie up my whole day driving around in CT and getting stuck in traffic driving back to LI. So for the first meet this would do it for me.

Just no-one spoil your appetite for the amazing pizza that is rated one of the best in the country.
Fiver Driver - thanks for joining our meet - thanks for bringing the doughnuts and the coffee.. I take mine light and sweet and hot (make sure you have a thermos..
because it will be cold by the time we get to Fairfield)..
Please keep in mind that Pepe's gets busy, VERY busy. If we arrive at 11am at Pepe's, it gives us time to arrange the MINIs the way we want so that we can take some awesome photos and get to know one another. If you leave by 9:30am from MINI of Manhattan, you should be golden to arrive to Pepe's about that time to do that because it's about 90 minute drive to Fairfield (or thereabouts)...
Thanks everyone for joining our meet! See you all Sunday.
If you haven't yet planned to join the meet, why not consider doing so!

I have contacted news12 Connecticut and they might be there with television coverage in Fairfield!!

Also trying to get newspaper coverage!!
Please leave your name here if you're interested in attending this event - so we can try and have a more accurate headcount for Pepe's Pizza!!

This is something I sent to the local TV station:
Thanks for spending the time with me on the phone this morning to discuss briefly the fact that we will be having a group of MINI Coopers converging on Pepe's Pizza on Sunday, 20-January (this Sunday).
They will be coming in from MINI of Manhattan and ending at Pepe's Pizza in Fairfield. I, and a group of others, will already be in Fairfield with our MINIs, and we'll all be having lunch!
We will probably take up all or most of the secondary parking area next to Pepe's. It will be quite an event, and I believe that there will be at least 20 MINIs in attendance (or more).
I hope we can have some TV coverage on Sunday. I just spoke with someone at Pepe's who also knows someone at the TV station that might shed light on this event as well - so hopefully we'll have a great lunchtime on Sunday! After all, these people are skipping NY Pizza to come to Connecticut!!
