June 29th Westchester County Meet...
You're welcome Chris. Now you can just take off one day with no particular destination in mind and then be able to find your way back home. I was pretty impressed with your driving skill for being so young. Usually it takes many mores years of driving experience to take those turns like we did today.
Why thank you! Actually, I was holding back. Ever since that skid when I was driving with Ant, I haven't been pushing the car. Plus I had Ant on my tail the whole time, so I had to try and keep up. I didn't want KoolMINI to et to high of himself either way out ahead like he was...LOL...
I want to thank everyone for coming out
and Lori for bringing out the JCW car for us to check it out
I wish I put a little more work into route, I mapped it out the night before the meet (nothing like waiting till the last minute)
I know lots more twisty roads and next time I'll drive the route to be more precise with the directions and put in the mileage between roads and a planed lunch break, etc.
but with only 7 cars we we're able to stay together real easy.....almost
btw: bumping into my Dad was not a planned event (but a good one)
X2Board, nice exit.......smokey two gears......yeeeeeeee haaaaaaaa

>>Great ride everyone... Those tunrs coming down the mountain were ORGASMIC! Sunroof open, looking out my passenger side.. seeing the river, sun in my face.

too bad we couldn't pull over at the top of Route 218 (not enough space) the veiw is awesome and there's a castle on an island in the middle of the Hudson River
the first pic in my sig is at the top of 218 (the first real twisty my MINI was ever on)

>>X2, notice I left out any incriminating photos. You were in New Milford the whole afternoon, right? I don't think your wife would ever be able to recognize your hand in the last photo.
