May 26th (2013) MINI Connected App Update for iPhone
Just downloaded the new Connected app for the iPhone but haven't had a chance to check out the AppSwitcher.
Anyone tried this yet?

Yes. I tried launching tunein (that now it's connected ready).
I went back in the starting menu of connected (on the visual boost) and there's a new voice "app switcher".
Selecting this voice, the visual boost shows you all the connected app, like driving excitement, ect...
If you now select one of them the visual boost runs automatically the connected app on the iphone.
It works quite well.
