One more question - forgive me, I'm new to all this - has anyone been successful at sending directions from google maps to the nav using the "send to car" choice in the google map? I have connect & nav.

It asks for my miniconnect account. What's that?

The Miniconnect account is the email address that you used to register when you Downloaded the App.
Worked for me....picked up my Absolute Black All4 today... sent directions from my MacBook to the Mini using google maps.
Go to google maps on your computer, map directions to a destination, click on the send email and it will open a link that includes To Vehicle. Scroll down, select Mini, then fill out your email address when you are prompted. Good luck.

 

I originally downloaded the MiniConnect app (before I got the car) without creating an account. I deleted it off my phone and redownloaded setting up an account this time. Wooppeeee! It worked. I use googlemaps all the time so this will be great as you can control the route.

One tech issue down, several more still to go.

You can. Go to maps.google.com on your phone. Sign in to your Google account. If you click the button that looks like a sheet of paper with writing on it and then click "Classic," you can access the Send to Car feature. But the buttons are really tiny and you can't really zoom in.
