HELP! Indash by Panavise installation question.

I got the InDash mount by Panavise for my iPod through Bimmian. This is what they sent me:

First I wasn't really sure that this was the correct item for the MINI. Can anyone confirm that this is the correct mount? (I thought it was supposed to be mounted using TWO screws.)

The instructions say to remove the 2 pillars to install. Fine. No problem. However, there is a step missing and I can't figure out what to do. See instructions below:

There is obviously a line or two of text missing after the text that I highlighted.
Any ideas of what I am supposed to do now?

Bimmian was of no help and I can't get in touch with PanaVise. And I don't want to mess up. Also, to me it seems as though the mount is not the right one for a MINI.

I think the missing word is "radio" or "head unit"

I'm trying to remember back to when I installed that piece for my satellite radio a couple years ago.

Here is a photo of mine showing the location it should end up at. From there, you should easily be able to figure out which screw you use for mounting once you remove the pillar.

Does the mount look correct to you?

I did a quick search on eBay and found a dealer selling an InDash mount for a MINI. But his item's picture looks like this:

???

This is definitely not what I got.

Anne, Yes, that is the correct part # and you found the correct instruction page. Just like Yucca, I can guarantee it works (at least for an 04). See below. Its for all 2002 - 2006 MINIs and its a universal mount for mounting anything.

I don't know what screws they are referring to because I had a shop do it along with run an external antenna but I also bet its the bracket to hold the radio.

As it turns out, Bimmian sent me the wrong part. When I told them that the mount didn't seem to fit the MINI (and the installation instructions were for a BMW), they said they must have sent me the wrong item. So they reshipped my order--but when it came, it was the exact same item!

I finally ended up talking to an engineer at PanaVise who sent me a pic of the right part for the MINI. (The mount Bimmian sent me was for a 5 series BMW.) I forwarded the pic to Bimmian and one of their customer service managers actually went to the shipping department and picked out the right mount.

Once I got the right part, it was no problem installing the mount. And the set-up is just great--much nicer than keeping the iPod in the cupholder!
