Door trim removal on a 2006

Has anybody taken off the door trim on a 2006? I'm about to upgrade the speakers and notices that my elbow rest covers the third "visible" screw. (Looks like the elbow rest was extended back from earlier models). Can anybody tell me how to get at it without breaking something?

You need to release a tab by sliding something thin such as a credit card at the front of the armrest. Ian Cull (GBMINI) documented the steps with photos here: http://www.gbmini.net/gallery/GBMINI3stereo
