Aux install on HK system

Is the install for the HK head unit the same as the standard stereo head unit? The how to articles I have found put the connector for the aux unit on the left side of the stereo in the back (the side where the volume is).

Is that the same? I am planning on removing my knee panel and installing it today.

Thanks,
k

You are correct, it is the same.

Thanks for confirming. I installed it this morning. Very easy to install. Probably takes about 15 minutes from start to finish. I ended up mounting it right underneath where a lot of other people have mounted (instead of in the glove box).

Thanks,
k

FYI, the HK system doesn't have a HK head unit. It's the same "Boost" head unit with both systems. From what I recall, the HK system gives you a different speaker set up and the amplifier. There's also some programming stuff that's different, but I'm not sure if this is in the head unit, part of what the amplifier does, or both.
