I have an Ipod connection installed in the glove box. Can I use this for a aux input, like out of a DVD player? Is there an adapter I can buy?

 

No - it's an iPod dock cable, therefore it will only work with iPods. However, you're in luck - MINI makes an Aux Input which is cheap, easy to install, and gives you a jack (headphone-size) to plug in anything you want. It's definitely the way to go.

 

Thanks , so do I have to pull the radio to get to the back side ,to install the jack? How do I get it out?

 

Yes, there's a connector that goes into the back of the radio, and you can run the wire and install the jack to any place within reach - they give you at least 2 or 3 feet of wiring, so you can install it in the center console, in the parcel shelf, or in the glove box.

The radio is easy to remove - just take out the downtubes, and then 4 screws hold the radio in place.
