Steering wheel buttons changed suddenly?

I put in the OEM Ipod adaptor about 3 months ago and love it. I may be losing my mind, but I could swear that the up/down buttons on the steering wheel have suddenly changed use. I use them to scroll up and down through my playlists. I also seem to recall that when you hold down the up arrow button it would fast forward through the song currently playing. I know I've done it before.
Anyway, in the last few days I noticed that when I hold down the up arrow it now jumps ahead by 10 tracks.
Have I somehow re-programmed something?
Annette

I just installed mine on Saturday & the manual does say that holding the > button will skip ahead 10 tracks. I'm not sure about what you say happened before though?

Well now I'm thoroughly baffled. I asked my son earlier which car we were in when we were repeating a part of a song over and over (we were trying to hear something in the bass line). He said we were in El Kabong. So I asked him if her remembered what I was doing to maneuver through the song and he said I was using the controls on the steering wheel. I will spend some time on it this weekend to see if I can figure out what I was doing!
Thanks for the response, I have already misplaced the Ipod adaptor manual of course .

If the RND button on the stereo is engaged, the > button will fast forward through the song. If the RND button isn't engaged, holding down the > button will make it jump forward ten tracks at a time.

Beto, Thanks!
It occurred to me this morning that I usually have it in RND but noticed it wasn't yesterday.
Very odd programming, learn something new everyday I guess .
