Powering LCDs

Sorry for reposting, but I wasn't getting a response in the interior/exterior mods forum.

Attached, I have a few pics of wires that come off of an LCD screen. I plan on hooking it up to a DVD player, and there are a few questions still bouncing around.

I already know that the the wires that are white, red, and yellow are for audio and video.

The black and red wire with the connect thingy is the power source, how do I hook it up or what do you suggest? I will have a power inverter in the MINI if that helps.

Also, what is that black wire for?

Thank you.

Oh the black wire is for the remote? It might be, but I am not as worried about that as I am worried about power!

red is 12v black is ground. Connect them to something switched 12 volt, similar to where you would wire for a radar detector

If you have an aftermarket deck, you can connect to the red behind and just ground anywhere that's metal

I'm going to the autoparts store today to pick up a fuse. Thanks for the help!
