iPod Mini Adapters...
Okay, I've researched what people wrote on this site about what the best way to go is for an iPod adapter+install. Bottom line up front, I am looking at buying an ipod, want to use it in my mini as well. I would like for it to do these things:
1.) Constantly charge the iPod
2.) I want to control the volume and tracks from the Wheel/HU
3.) Have no or least amount of cords showing
4.) Turn off when car turns off
5.) Want something I can install myself
Well, any help would be most appreciated, I know this has been brought up before, just need names of options to buy and prices would be enough. Oh, and let me know if the songs display in the HU or not. Not a huge worry, but would be convenient.

Brethan, Since you are in Germany, I will reply. :p
In my 06 (with H/K and Nav) I got the IceLink Plus. Although I am unable to display titles on the HU due to the NAV, the unit does everything that you want above and more. I got mine at (http://www.maxxcount.de/) and it was the HU version. Connecting it took about 20 Min and there were no wires to splice. All I had to do was disconnect the radio and plug the connector for the Icelink in. If you need help, I might be able to help you. I am located in Heidelberg, but am getting ready to move to Graf.

Also, check out www.newministuff.com Mikey is a MINI man as well and has great customer support.
I recently modded my US Spec car to get TMC on my nav, so I'm very familier with the system.

Thanks Will,
Yeah, I'm just South of Graf in Vilseck, I'll look into that system, probably looking to get it next week. Let me know when you get to Graf, maybe we could link-up for a drive around the country side. Thanks once again.

More than happy to help. If you want to hear one before you buy, hang tight and I'll let you see mine.
Definetly on the motoring part. Thread
