Searching by ZIP Code With New V27 Firmware?

I'd appreciate a few tips on how to search by ZIP code with both the new V27 Firmware and the newest 2006-2 map data installed.

I've learned how to switch back and forth between 3-D and 2-D images. It's really cool to see the world receeding away from you in perspective, especially at the greater distances.

What other tricks does the new firmware offer I wonder ? ? ?

It's easy - the 'City' section now says 'City/Zip' (or something like that.) Just put in the zip instead of the city - the numbers are now highlighted, thus available, and you're good to go. You put in the zip, and it returns the city. Sweet.

This is the first I'm hearing about this. Is this "official" from the dealer, or a burn an image & load it thing? The zip code entry is one feature I really like about our Garmin in our CR-V, it cuts way down on entry time. Thanks.

According to eVal, you need both V27 and 2006-2 for the zip option to work, but I can't confirm that.

ChrisWyso, check this thread for directions to the V27 software.

This is only for the Nav O/S version 2.7 and the latest 2006.2 Navteq maps (yes, they are bloody expensive).

Agreed, searching by zip is very helpful.
