more iPod issues (AUX + Belkin Auto Kit)

I have experienced the same ground loop problems as other iPod users, with the head unit just losing the AUX connection after a while. very annoying. i read here that using the Belkin Auto Kit eliminates the problem, but when I do that, another problem surfaces... the audio cuts out for a split second, every few seconds. like, every few seconds, there is just a split-second of silence. it's quite regular, so i don't think it's a connection being jostled or anything like that.

the problem occurs with different ipods, different belkin connectors, and regardless of which power jack i am using (the one in the center console or the one in the boot). has anyone else experienced this?

(the setup where this occurs is: aux cable is plugged into the belkin's audio jack. ipod is connected to the belkin via the dock connector.)

thanks!
