iPod Uh-Oh...

Not sure if this has been discussed before, but thought I would share and see if anyone had suggestions. I had my dealer install the iPod link for the HK system, and all worked great for the first two weeks. I set up two playlists (MINI1 and MINI2) and was able to shuttle through each playlist using the buttons on the steering wheel (moving up and down through songs and controlling volume). I could also use the RND button on the radio to move randomly through the songs (as opposed to sequentially). However, this morning, at a stop light, the Mini faltered and took a moment to get going. After that, I noticed the following change in the iPod operation: In the two playlists that I created, everything works just as it used to. However, selecting button number 6 on the radio (which used to simply play through all songs on the iPod), has gotten very odd. If I don't select the RND feature, I can move up and down through songs, and the display shows TR01, TR02, etc. When I select the RND feature, the display returns to TR01 (the song does not change) and I cannot change the song at all. I have tried turning the car off and on, but with no effect. A quick sub-question on this topic...why can't I see the actual song name (as opposed to TR01)? Thanks for your help and sympathy!

Before going to deep, I'd pull out the Ipod, and reset it. (hold center button and menu for about 5 seconds).

Then reconnect and see if that solves the problem.

Sounds good, Dolmangar. Sort of the old Microsoft Windows "reboot" response. I'll give it a try! Thanks!

I had an IceLink (not in the MINI) that would occasionally require a "swift kick in the IPod" to work properly.

I'd be really suprised if a reset doesn't solve the issue. Good luck
