New Nav v27 screen shot

Hey guys. figured i'd share some info with you mini guys. Over at the BMW forum we've been trying to find more info on this. We got this screenshot of v27 but we haven't been able to find any more information on it, only that its in the development stage.

I saw the response to your v26 thread so I was hoping that maybe someone here will find something out about it so we can all get this new software in our cars!

heres the screen shot!

Awesome... effectively a 3D-style view, just like Google Earth offers!

Sweet.

Would definately be interested in finding out more. Presumably this would use the same hardware, no?

C'mon! Someone's gotta have more pics of this thing in action!

All I want to add to this... is that here's another reason it's a good thing that MINI has BMW as the parent company.

Can you imagine a company as small as MINI on its own developing these updates as they do now? Especially when the percentage of MINI owners who bought the factory NAV system is so small. Thank God they used the same system as in BMW models!

If this release can come sooner, I will give all best score in the JD Power's Nav survey.

VW has announced the same type of relationship with Google to use its Google Earth rendering style software. Expect the BMW release later this year...

Looks great, with hope it won't slow it down at all, the nav is so nice and fast right now. On a related note I had a great time with the nav in the wine country this weekend, so nice to look up places and know I can get around, love it

By the way, anyone have the new maps yet? I'd love to have something more recent then 2003/04 in our 05 MCS
