A friend has gone thru a couple of front speakers on her HK system. Rather than spenf $130+ for a stock replacement I was thinking an aftermarket speaker woudl be better. I searched Crutchfield.com but got We don't know which items fit because we haven't researched your car as a response. I did a search but found no good answers.

Can anyone suggest a good replacement?

 

Do you know why they have gone though their HK speakers? The stock HK amp should not be overpowering and damaging them at all.

...the problem that I had was due to water getting in the door. Even if you add other speakers, you will still have the same problem, as the back of the speaker is exposed to the elements. She tells me that she has to keep the bass all the way down or the speakers sound like crap...
