Navigation & Audio Custom system question
Custom system question
I am wanting to add a little boom to my boot. I am going to get the rear seat delete, then I want to build a box for 2 8" subs for the boot that will be flush with the rear seat delete. Is there a company that already makes that? Is it even possible due to the lack of depth? The goal is the look as stock as possible. No "neons", crazy colors, or 52 plazmas that unfold from the rear view mirror. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
A few people have done this, but it will have to be custom, here is a pic of simplygriff's boot.

Also, JL Audio makes the Stealthbox which looks near stock, but it takes space on the side of the boot, not flush like this. Here's a pic:

JL Audio's 8" W3 is 4.31" deep, and their 10" W1 is 4.34" deep. I would think that either of those would fit.

Have you also considered bass shakers for a little boom for your butt?
They take up less room than any sub, and I thought they worked well enough that I am going to fit my couch with 'em for the home theater.
No they aren't a replacement for a sub, but add a tactile, inaudible dimension.

Bass shakers? Wierd. Maybe in the couch for home theater, but theyre not going to provide the same sound as a quality sub. Seems like a cheap thrill to me, but what do I know. And their probably not cheap?
