I am still trying to decide about my sound system, but in the meantime was thinking of getting some Dynamat installed and the Dension Icelink put in while I'm at it. I can't seem to find anywhere with a demo unit I can play with and the sales people, while nice, don't seem to know much more than they can read on the box!
I use my Ipod in one way only, I put it on Shuffle Songs and just listen. When I get to something I don't feel like listening to, I scroll to the next song. I don't make playlists, don't have time, don't want to. I'm lucky I get around to adding stuff from ITunes on occassion. When I ask a sales person if I can just set the Ipod to shuffle before plugging it in and sticking the Ipod away in the glove box they say "I would think that would work just fine". This vague answer doesn't give me alot of confidence to say the least.
So is this an option? And is the reaction time ok? I mean if I hit the up arrow on the steering wheel control to skip to the next song, is there an annoying delay or is it a reasonable reaction time?

I can answer those questions for you, yes to the first questions and NO to the second, you can put the ipod into shuffle mode and let it go, and when you hit the steering wheel control to shift to the next song it is almost instant! very nice set up, I could not live without my ice link! any other questions? I installed my own , very easy to do

 

Thanks so much for the quick response. I was really getting frustrated about what seems like a simple question! I think I'll set up my appointment to get the Icelink and Dynamat installed!
