Just got the iPod adapter installed and I'm trying to use it with my Nano. It appears to be connecting and displays all the right info, but I'm not getting any audio. I waited a couple of months to get it because it was on back order and now it doesn't work! Frustrating. I read on another forum that there was a compatibilty issue with h/k stereo speakers. Any ideas?

First, make sure you have your MINI 1-5 playlists created in iTunes. Drop your music files into them and then sync them with your iPod Nano. Part of the problem may be related to the fact that you don't have these playlists defined in the iPod, hence the adaptor fails to upload and sync your music files into the head unit.

I have been using my 4GB Nano with the MINI ipod adaptor and Harmon Kardon stereo for the past 2 months without any issues. The sound quality is excellent. I love this combo!

If after creating the playlists you still get no sound, I would have the dealer rectify the installation of the adaptor (If they did it themselves) or perhaps order a new replacement module.

Just for general information, the MINI ipod adaptor should work with Apple ipod 3rd gen, 4th gen, 4th gen Photo, 5th Gen Video, iPod Mini (Now discontinued) and iPod Nano right out of the box.

I have the H/K system and the MINI iPod adapter. It works fine with my 3G, son's iPod Mini, buddies 4G, wife's Nano, and my new 5G Video iPod.

There is no uploading and syncing into the head unit, the files play off the iPod. Even without the Playlists setup on the iPod, you can still hit (6) on the head unit to play the whole iPod library.

I ran into this problem with my 2G Nano (no audio, but set-up indicators on the Nano and radio looked fine) - what seemed to "fix" the lack of sound was to plug the Nano in while it was "ON" and playing a song.

I called MINI support, and they confirmed that the Nano should work with the current adaptor and that I should check to see if I have the most up-to-date firmware (i.e. software) for the Nano, which I did.

Funny thing was that the interface worked great the first time I used the adaptor, and then the next day, when I connected the Nano in again, it exhibited this problem. Since the "fix", it's worked fine (can plug it in "ON" or "OFF" with no problems).

Hope this works for you.
