Navigation & Audio MFSW with Avic N2

MFSW with Avic N2
So my plan for my MINI when I order it, is to put in the newest Avic by Pioneer. My question is this, can the MFSW be used in conjuction with the Avic unit? I dont really need cruise where I live so I was just about to trash the MFSW option. Till I remembered a few installs at a buddy's shop where they used the factory steering wheels controls with the older Avic N1. So can it be done with the Avic N2 and the MINI's MFSW? Thanks for any help!
