Sorry guys this question may have been answered before. But I didn't find an answer that I felt answered all my questions looking back at previous posts so I figure why not just ask.

I have a 2002 MINI Cooper with NAV system. I would like to use an IPOD with my stereo.

It appears that I will need a blitzsafe adapter to do this.

However reading some things it isn't completely clear to me if the adapter will in fact work with my system due to my NAV system.

1. So my first question is will blitzsafe work with the NAV system?
2. If so it appears that the correct version would be
Blitzsafe Mini Interface - AUX input olny (AUX DMX V.1)
http://www.rspeed.net/mini/item.asp?...p;prod=M20-603
is this correct?
3. Where's the cheapest place to get the adapter?

Now I was able to find the following at crutchfield.com and it appears to be the same as the one at rspeed.net however it specifically says at crutchfield that it does not work with the NAV system:

Blitzsafe BMWDMX1
http://www.crutchfield.com/cgi-bin/S...p;I=572BMWDMX1

Can someone straighten this mess out for me?

Thanks!

Maynerd

Maynard,

Have you asked Blitzsafe. I have the same question and am going to shoot them and email. I'm also trying to find out how to add Xm without losing and NAV functionality. Any ideas?

Maynerd,

I am running a Dension MP3 Player in my car. And I like it. Now I will be honest this is the first MP3 anything that I have ever used. So, I have no base to compare it to. But, with my 10" subs and a small 60 watt amp, Smash Mouth sounds real good.

http://www.densionusa.com

Plus, You can connect the DMP3 player to any SONY Unilink or ALPINE M-bus compatible head unit! You will be able to fully control the DMP3 player with your factory installed head-unit just like a factory CD-Changer. Plug it in your Home stereo and PC. (Just reading the site.)

I currentlly have:

Product Specs. on Dension DH 201/ 202:
- RDS FM/AM Tuner
- 4x25W RMS amp, 4x RCA pre-outs
- Tilt down removable faceplate
- Large, full color backlit full-graphics display
- DIN sized unit with standard ISO connectors
- Built in CD player
- Fully compatible with DMP3 A/B player and works as a controller.
- Silver or charcoal faceplate.

and

DMP3 20 gig player
Car Host frame
Connectors to installation in cars (cigar lighter, 2 pc. RCA plug, 8 pol. CarPort connector)
AC adapter
DMP3 Manager software + Utilities (CDR)
Case

DVLMINI - I have not emailed Blitzsafe on this but since you are already, please let me know what they say! I have not found or heard of a way to replace the head unit without losing the NAV sound functionality. If you find a way to make it work without adding a special speaker just for the NAV I would be VERY VERY interested in that!

diamini - that's an interesting product but I don't know how it relates at all to what I was asking.
