nice

"Yes, it is. I struggled with this at first, and it isn't completely intuitive, but now that I know how it's easy. All you have to do is enter the address you want to store as though you want to go there now, and after you've done that, go into address book, choose "enter address", and store it with the name (the address will already be entered, from before). While you're putting in the name, it won't show you the house number, but it will store it... you'll see it when you go to retrieve the address afterwards. Trust me, I had the frustration you mentioned at first, but this works."

Nice I finally got it to work, was this changed in other of the last 2 firmware updates? I could have swore that never worked before.

To be honest, I'm not sure. I struggled with this from day one... it wasn't until I read up more here on NAM that I tried this alternate method. Prior to this, I had been trying to just go directly into the address book, choose enter address, and proceeding. It makes sense, right? I agree that having to choose it as your current destination in order to save the house number is stupid. But it works... so you can now populate your address book with all of the places you want.

Mine is loaded with a bunch of places, including my work, friend's houses, restaurants I go to sometimes, etc. Even if I know how to get to these places from home, I may not always know the best way to get there from wherever I happen to be... so it's nice to have them pre-stored.

Again, I'll say that: sure, the MINI Nav system isn't perfect, but I still think it's WAY WAY ahead of mapquest, google maps, etc... and I'm very happy to have it.
