I am receiving my new Mini S at the end of May The problem is that right now I am here in Germany and am moving to Hawaii and the dealer said that I cannot get the US DVD with the car since it was ordered in Germany. I was told that I have to purchase the DVD when I get to the states. I think it is a rip off to spend $1500 for a system that I cannot use without spending an additional amount on it Does anyone have any options that I can research? Next question, I want to install an alarm system in the car and was told that it would cost over $700.00 for a dealer installed system. Again does anyone have a solution? Any help would be appreciated!!

 

Install the alarm yourself. I got a deal on ebay, but otherwise you can get it for $300 @ any dealer. The install takes less than an hour and is really plug & play (though the dealer does need to program the BC1 to recognize it.
