Installing SIRIUS PNP2 Monday.....

I plan on installing the Audiovox PNP2 either tomorrow (if the rain stops) or Monday. If anone has any helpful hints, I sure would like to hear them....

Otherwise, this is my plan of attack....

The nonhk headunit has an accessory wire (+12) it's pin 15, purple/blue. I'm going to use that wire to power a relay that will turn power to the sirius cradle on and off.

I'm then going to run a fused wire from under the hood (at the positive terminal) to the relay, to the Siruis cradle, and tie ground to a metal point under the dash.

At this point, I will install the aux input cable I purchased today at the Mini Cooper parts counter, then plug the cradle into that.

Using Heavy Duty Velcro, I plan on attaching the cradle into the little pocket under the switches. Since I have a remote, I shouldn't have any problem with it down there.

I'm also thinking of removing the spoiler and installing the antenna inside that, to keep it safe and hidden.

If anyone has any thoughts or ideas for me, let me know....
Thanks.

Done and done. If anyone wants to see where to hardwire the portable sat radio equipment, let me know, and I'll post pictures.

I've already done mine, but would still like to see pictures!

How did it work mounting the antenna inside the spoiler? I might want to do that!

I'm curious about the in-the-spoiler mounting as well.

Well, it would have gone great, but I think the spoiler is glued on, so I put it behind the regular antenna like everyone else. Since I had not gotten any responses to my post, I didn't elaborate. Sorry for the confusion. If you are interested, I am going to be installing the MC Sat antenna, so that I can get rid of the magnet one, and I will take detailed photos of that.

It won't be until later this year, tho...
