BlueMusic vs Bluebus vs Grom

Hey guys,

I need Bluetooth and calling (ideally retaining the stereo controls) to work with the HK system, that won’t make it sound crappy. I don’t want to change out the oem head unit.

Ive read a lot about Grom which seems ok.

I found an inexpensive plug in solution with great reviews in BlueMusic (45 Euro) that hooks up to the back of the stock head unit.

I found the Bluebus that hooks up to the CD changer (~$200)

Anyone have experience with either option? Or recommendations for an alternative?

Thanks,
jamie

I have the BlueMusic bluetooth with mic in my R58 and it works great! Since my year only supports bluetooth phone audio and not streaming audio, this was a great solution for me. I was able to add a stand alone CarPlay unit and have it play through the HK system.
You do have to get to the back of the radio and plug in the adapter but its a big plus because I'm one of those that doesn't like wires to be seen
anywhere.

Forgot to mention that the BlueMusic retains both your stereo and steering wheel controls as well.

Thanks! Looks like this is the one I need that connects to the back of the head unit.

Im not sure what the difference is for the other model that connects to the CD player but seems more convenient to wire the microphone from behind the dash with the head unit model.

Curious about the Bluebus. It just do something different/better for the extra cost? It gets rave reviews.
