Why no ELEVATION?

Why no ELEVATION?
Even the most recent MINI Navigation does not provide my ELEVATION as I travel through the mountains and valleys of the Southwest. Do I have to switch to a CarPlay map app? Seems the best solution now. I think the BMW version of this Nav app does give elevation - come on, Mini.
