I wonder if any of you have had this problem. Got my Mini S last week and found that when I use the navigation system the voice that speaks to you is very loud. I went into the settings screen to lower the volume but the scale runs from "Unbelievably Loud" to "Very Loud". In other words, even if I set the volume control to as low as it will go, the voice is still uncomfortably loud.

My guess is is that my dealer will be able to adjust the setting, but I'm just wondering if there's something I can do that I missed.

One other nav problem. The screen is not bright enough to comfortably view. I have nav in 2 other cars and don't have this problem and I'm wondering if any other mini owners have had the same problem.

A final note. I washed my mini today. No big deal, you say, right? Well, I'm 60 years old and have had a ton of cars and the last time I washed one (myself, that is) is when I had a Corvette some 40 years ago. I love my Mini.

I was going to tell you how to turn it down, but you already know. Hmm, I have no idea...

Yep, I'm aware of that. If I turn the radio volume control down while the nav is "talking", that does lower the volume....but only then. The next time the nav "talks", it's back to the same high volume.
