All,
If this has already been posted please don't crucify me.
Recently I purchased two different Bluetooth devices which work to bring your mobile phone music into your Mini Cooper system. The first of these was the e-Sky Car Wireless Receiver, and the second one was the Tunai Firefly Chat LDAC devices.
e-Sky Car Wireless Receiver: My experience with this unit is that it works as advertised and despite what other reviews say will both charge and play simultaneously. The only issue that I had with it is that it is battery powered and requires turning off after you cut the ignition from your Mini Cooper. While the buttons may be cool looking you can control anything you need from your Mini Cooper with no device being required.
Tunai Firefly Chat LDAC. This device looks a lot simpler, all you do is plug it into your input and charging jacks, pair it and presto you have audio bluetooth. One of the nice things is that if you receive a phone call it will automatically switch to the Mini Cooper phone bluetooth and once the call is complete switch right back to the Tunai Firefly on its own. To me this is the actual Bluetooth experience I was looking for. Simply plug it in and leave it alone.....everything is done automatically. This device is also very small and barely noticeable.
For me the Tunai was the best option. Both work as advertised however if you like the button pushing and flashy part of it then you may like the other one better.
