Navigation & Audio iPod EQ setting?

iPod EQ setting?
I got an iPod as a Christmas gift, along with a Griffin iTrip FM transmitter. Both work great, but when combined with my Mini's HK stereo, I get waaaaayyy too much bass!
I turned off the Driver function on the HK, which helped some, but even with the bass turned down and the iPod's EQ set to Bass Reducer the bass is still too boomy (HK is set to the default Mini H/K setting).
Anyone have any suggestions? I'm going to try to save some custom EQ options to see if I can find one that helps, but hope maybe someone else has already gone through this!
I'm planning on getting the Aux input installed at my first service, so maybe that will help. ??
Thanks!

I find that going through the FM radio results in too much bass. Once you get your aux input installed you'll find the sound quality will improve greatly. Also, each 'source', including the aux input 'remembers' it's own tone control settings, so if you knock the bass down for the aux input, it will not affect your previous setting for the CD player or the radio. Each setting is independent.
