Google Maps stopped working through Bluetooth
I have a 2020 Countryman S that unfortunately doesn’t have CarPlay. I have been able to get driving directions from Google Maps on my iPhone by broadcasting to my car as a Bluetooth phone call. Recently, during one of these “calls” I hit the volume button on my phone. Now, the “calls” still come in, but there is no audio during these Maps directions. Phone calls are fine, the audio issue only appears when Google Maps tries to broadcast directions.
I have uninstalled/reinstalled Google Maps on my phone and deleted the phone from the car, but nothing has fixed the issue.
I even called my service advisor and he didn’t know you could broadcast as a Bluetooth call. He said he tells his clients they have to drive with Bluetooth audio selected; meaning all music can only be played through the phone if you want directions. Sadly, I don’t think he was interested in knowing that there is an easier method.
Any help would be welcome!
