2017 F55 Backup Camera Field of View
2017 F55 Backup Camera Field of View
Got my wife's F55 back from the dealership after a two month wait on an engine replacement. Noticed that the backup camera field of view in the display is much wider, almost fisheye lens like. The feed from the camera also doesn't fill in the entire space of the display between the options and the rear PDC sensor display. We both remember the view being more normal and less zoomed out, but I haven't been able to find any settings that fix this in the menus or via coding. Was hoping to not have to take it back to the dealership since we just got it back.
Anyone experience anything similar and know the fix? Or are we just misremembering the view of the camera?

Thanks for replying, found a YouTube video that showed the backup camera view on one and it matches what we're seeing, so we may have just forgotten how it looked while we didn't have the car.
Engine was replaced due to a cylinder #4 having some cracked rings and cracked the block. Had a Dinan Elite on it, but Dinan covered everything for the engine replacement. They said it was the first MINI engine they've ever had to replace. I'd love to put the Dinan Elite back on, but the wife doesn't want it back on. Dinan doesn't know exactly why the cylinder failed, but chalked it up to human error when the engine was built (aka we don't know and we're not going to investigate it). I'm guessing the tolerance on the engine from the factory was just barely on the edge of passing and the extra power on the Elite pushed it over the edge over the course of 33,000 miles.

Never dyno'd the car, but Dinan's charts on their test car show about 247whp and 295wtq. Plenty of cars have been using their Elite V2 tune for a while now and lots forum reading lead me to believe that my wife's engine really was the only MINI branded B46 that blew. I've read about one other B46/B48 engine that were damaged with a Dinan Elite, but that individual had some other mods on the car, so highly likely the combination of mods just produced too much power.
